Konstantinos has always been an energetic young man, filled with dreams for the future. His life however, turned upside down in the worst possible way, when he suffered a car accident just three days before Christmas of 2020. The 31-year-old man was rushed to the hospital, since his condition was critical. Konstantinos had to spend 2 whole months in the ICU, while he was then transferred to a rehabilitation center in the city of Larissa, where he had to remain for a long period of time.

Konstantinos completed his rehabilitation program and returned home. Due to the injuries he had sustained however, he is now unable to walk. When Konstantinos was discharged from the rehabilitation center, the doctors strongly recommended that he would be regularly subjected to physiotherapy. Over the past 2 years however, Konstantinos is not subjected to any sort of treatments, since his family is struggling to make ends meet. At this point, his muscles have atrophied. His joints have become stiff and according to the doctor who has been treating him, his condition will deteriorate if he is not immediately subjected to physiotherapy. At the same time, the young man requires a new wheelchair, which will improve his posture and which will offer him a better quality of life, since the wheelchair he already has, has sustained massive damages.

Konstantinos’ family is facing financial problems and they are unable to cope with the cost of his treatments, as well as the cost of his new wheelchair. His parents recently contacted ACT OF KINDNESS. The Organization’s medical and social department immediately conducted the required investigation, in order to organize this aid campaign which will relieve the 31-year-old man from the muscle and joint pain he is daily experiencing.

Konstantinos’ life turned upside down from one minute to the next. A young man, with an insatiable thirst for life, suddenly found himself confined to a wheelchair, unable to fend for himself. Together, we can improve his quality of life. We can offer him a sense of hope. Any contribution can make a great difference!
